Description: 1 page, 9.25 x 7.25 inches, Washington, D.C., November 23, 1938. Written to Clark Miller, a representative at the Lord & Thomas advertising firm -- an agency hired to promote a positive image of the FBI to the American public, in part: "...I want you to know how gratified I am to learn that my recent talk, 'Lawlessness--A National Menace,' was of so much interest to you. The constant support of such outstanding men as you is a source of encouragement to me and to all law enforcement officers in the fight against the crime problem of America..." This letter was written at the height of the crime epidemic during the gangbuster era. One horizontal fold; very good condition.
