Description: 1 page, 10.5 x 8 inches, Ausable Forks, New York, September 30, 1942. Written to Arthur Price at Sears and Roebuck, consenting to illustrate a catalog cover in support of the war effort, in part: "I know that art can be more effective than photography; and I know that the artist who, in this crisis, is concerned with effective propaganda there is no better medium than a Sears and Roebuck catalog cover. I am concerned about propaganda, and you can bet that I'll do everything in my power to collaborate with you..."
