Description: 14 x 17 inches, City of Washington, June 11, 1866. Partially printed legal document signed in full by Johnson as President, appointing Walter B. Seates Collector of the Customs for the District of Chicago in the State of Illinois. The document includes the full signature of Jackson's Secretary of the Treasury -- Hugh McCollough -- and an engraved eagle emblem at the top. Partial tearing and chipping along the natural folds; small stain on the lower portion. Very good(-) condition.
