Description: 1 page, 3 x 8.25 inches, El Paso, Texas, April 17, 1964 -- a check drawn on "Bobby Fuller's Teen Rendezvous," a club that the then-21-year-old rock star rented in a shopping mall, prior to his national success. Boldly signed "Robert G. Fuller" below his printed name and signed again on the back. (South West National Bank machine cancellation markings are far from the signature). The check is accompanied with the original Funeral Home prayer card and itinerary, which includes the Funeral Service and the interment in Forest Lawn, Hollywood. Note: Bobby Fuller is by far the rarest of the tragic 1960s rock-n-roll figures and rarely comes to market except for the occasional signed napkin or autograph book page. Both items are in near fine condition.

Comments: American rock singer, songwriter, and guitarist from Texas who was the leader of the Bobby Fuller Four, best known for their two 1966 back-to-back national #1 hits "I Fought the Law" and "Love's Made a Fool of You." On July 18, 1966, Fuller and top industry celebrities, including Phil Spector, Sonny & Cher, Donovan, John Phillips, etc. spent the night celebrating the fact that "I Fought the Law" had become the #1 record in America. Nobody seems to recall when Bobby left the party, but the following morning Bobby was found dead inside his brand new Oldsmobile. The medical examiners report stated that: "Bobby's face, chest, and side were covered in bruises (petechial hemorrhages). There was blood on Bobby's face and chest and on the car seat. His body and clothes were soaked with gasoline. On the floorboard was a partly full gas can with a rubber hose attached to the spout. Cause of Death: Murder."
