Comments: Maddox's episcopate "was marked by much active philanthropy. He had always been a benefactor to London hospitals. Appended to the sermon is a general report on the London Infirmary for the period of Nov. 3, 1740 - March 25, 1744, including a financial report for the last year. Rare; NUC lists only one copy. Not in Blake.
