Description: Attractive signature with title on a 2.75 x 5.5-inch slip of paper: "Ira Remsen President of John Hopkins University." No place, no date, circa 1910. Mounting remnants on the back; very good condition.

Comments: American chemist who discovered the artificial sweetener saccharin in 1879. He founded the department of chemistry at John Hopkins University and later served as its President.
