3 pages each measuring 7 x 4.25 inches, on "Oamera Dei Deputati" letterhead, Rome, March 7, 1910. In this untranslated letter, Oliva writes to a well wisher explaining that it would be his delight to send his autograph that will grace her album. One horizontal fold; tape remnants on the back of page 3. Very good condition.

Italian lawyer, columnist, and politician. He wrote the libretto of "Manon Lescart" by Puccini, later finished by Illica, and in 1910 was one of the founders of the "Italian Nationalist Party." He served in the Italian Parliament from 1897 - 1900 before being ousted. At the age of 57, he died of a sudden heart attack, and all of his papers were eventually destroyed during World War II.
