Description: 1 page on "War Department" stationery, 9 x 5.5 inches, Washington. March 16, 1907. Boldly signed correspondence, in full: "My dear Lawshe: I enclose you herewith a note from the Postmaster-General, in which he states that he desires to have you qualify on the first of April, and asks that you be advised to that effect. Will you please acknowledge receipt of the Postmaster-General's note upon receipt of this? Very sincerely yours." Remnants of a stamp partially overlapping some text; otherwise very good condition.
