Written to a physician who served with the General during World War ll, in part: "...Your recollections of your airborne patients in the 130th Station Hospital are quite accurate so far as I am concerned. I would have said that my ailment was bronchitis but I never saw what you medics put in my record..." Horizontal folds and several faint stains; good condition.

Comments: United States Army four-star general who served as the fifth Chairman of the Joints Chiefs of Staff (1961 - 1964).

I just finished reading about the store and your family in Nick Basbanes newest book, Patience & Fortitude. I had previously read an article in Book magazine. I wished that I lived near so I could visit your store, it looks and sounds like a place I dream of getting lost in. Basbanes book mentioned that your father began a memoir but was, sadly, unable to finish the work. Would it be in anyway possible to read what must be a great historical adventure in bookselling?
