Description: 1 page, 6.75 x 5.25 inches, New York City, August 3, 1919. In this letter, written in German, Bodanzky thanks the recipient for sending orchestrated music that will be given to the Symphony. At the time, Bodanzky was in New York City, being accepted by Arturo Toscanini on the recommendation of Ferruccio Busoni. One horizontal fold; very good(+) condition.

Comments: Viennese composer who was a long-time conductor at the New York Met, of the German repertory (1915 - 1939). While in Vienna he was Mahler's assistant and later worked in Mannheim until he was replaced by Furtwangler.
