Description: 12.25 x 7.5 inches, War Office, August 27, 1812 -- partly printed war-date document signed "Palmerston" as Secretary of War, in part: "I have the honor to acquaint you, that His Royal Highness The Prince Regent has been pleased to order, in the Name and on the Behalf of His Majesty...that it has been deemed necessary to reduce the Number of Companies...specified in the existing Regulations of the 8th and 18th December, 1809." Evenly toned with the usual folds found on British military circulars of the early 19th century. Very good condition.

Comments: British statesman (known as "Lord Palmerston") who served twice as Prime Minister in the mid-19th century.
