Description: Dark bold signature on original 1951 sheet music for the ballad "Old Soldiers Never Die (They Just Fade Away)." The cover features a fantastic image of Gene Autry dressed in a cowboy outfit, playing his guitar. Note: on April 19, 1951, in front of Congress, MacArthur paraphrased: "And like the old soldier ballad, I now close my military career and just fade away." Horizontal folds; very good(-) condition.

Comments: American General who played a prominent role in the Pacific theater during World War ll. He was one of only five men ever to rise to the rank of General of the Army, in the U.S. Army.
