Description: Very scarce signature "Edw. N. Kirk," removed from a letter. No place, no date. Circa 1862. Very good condition.

Comments: Union Brigadier General who commanded a brigade at Shiloh. He was taken prisoner at Murfreesboro where he subsequently died from wounds received in battle.
