Description: Autographed quotation signed on a 6" x 5" album page. "Peter Rabbit Says: 'With open mind pursue your way And add to knowledge every day.' His friend and yours, Thornton W. Burgess, April 26, 1946." Very good condition.

Comments: American author of children's stories and books. He was the creator of the American version of Peter Rabbit (briefly known as Peter Cottontail) created by British author and illustrator Beatrix Potter. Peter Cottontail became a household name in 1950 when Gene Autry released a million-seller record of the same name. In 1971 Rankin and Bass Television productions released an Easter special with an all-star cast on NBC that incorporated Burgess's Character.
