Description: 1 page, 18.75 x 22.5 inches, Washington, D.C., August 6, 1973 -- a presidential appointment made during the height of the Watergate scandal as Richard Nixon appoints John E. Nidecker (Honest John) "Special Assistant to the President of the United States of America." Document with secretarial signature for the President by Rosemary Woods, just one month before she revealed that she accidentally erased 18 1/2 minutes of the secret White House tapes she was supposed to transcribe for Congress. Authentically co-signed by William P. Rogers as Secretary of State. This document retains its pure white color with a gorgeous over-sized Presidential seal; Nixon's signature is slightly faded; diagonal crease on the lower right portion. Very good condition.

Comments: Hamilton identifies the Nixon signature as Rosemary Woods -- Secretary #7.

Hello Naomi and Michele. A BIG thank you for your quick delivery of both President Wilson's TLS and Edith Bolling Wilson's letter to Mrs. Bainbridge Colby. They are both magnificent! My eyes actually welled up after seeing and reading them. You're talking to an old west Texas boy who grew up reading American History at age 8. I am 48 now and I still love it! Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. You have made my day! - Tex
