Description: Very early signature, 0.75 x 1.5 inches, circa 1775, most likely an endorsement removed from a document. Very good condition.

Comments: Delegate to the Continental Convention and then, the United State's first foreign diplomat when he traveled to France to lobby the French Government for aid. Soon thereafter he endorsed Loyalist criticisms of American independence and chose to remain in Great Britain.
