Price: $300.00

Date Published: 1930

Description: 11 x 9.25 inches, no place, no date, circa 1930. This exceptional and very scarce full-body photograph shows Sothern dressed in a full gown with fur shoulder wraps -- most definitely a pre-MGM photograph and without doubt one of the earliest signed photos to come to market. Inscribed near the lower right corner with excellent contrast: "to Herman Baradinski All good wishes, "Harriet Lake." Near fine condition.

Comments: American film and television actress who started her career in 1929 using her given name "Harriet Lake," changing her name to Ann Sothern in 1933. Her successful career spanned over six decades.

I recently purchased a book from you, having searched via the internet. The book came yesterday and this note commends your service and quick response. I was impressed with the care taken to wrap the book with tissue paper and several layers of corrugated cardboard, as well as the speed with which you must have sent it out. It arrived only a week after the order, in spite of the Thanksgiving holiday. I thank you for the attention paid to the quality of my order and hope we will do more business. - Steve C.
