Comments: Author's edition. Thomas Donaldson has inscribed this copy to the Ohio Society of New York. There are library rubber stamps on the endpapers and on the blank side of most of the folding maps from the Ohio Society. Included in the text is a catalogue of Catlin's Indians portraits with extensive descriptions of many of the portraits. Also, the text contains an extensive itinerary of Catlin's travels with excerpts of Catlin's observations of American Indians. Howes D-416. A tight, bright, copy.
