Comments: Later printing of Governor John Montgomerie's 1730 Charter of New York City. The 1730 Charter was the second one under British rule and incorporates much of the text of the first Charter issued in 1686 by Governor Thomas Dongan. The 1730 Charter continued the annual appointment of the Mayor by the Governor. Shaw & Shoemaker 48878.
