Comments: Lacks last four pages which are part of the appendix of lyrics of Shaker hymns. Spine heavily worn, front cover almost complete detached, calf worn and soiled, scattered foxing to pages, inner hinge cracked in front, inner hinge weak in back, lightly dampstained on top 1/3 of many pages, last two blank pages chipped and with later pencil notations. "Thomas Brown attended many Shaker meetings, confessed his sins to the elders, and made several long visits with the...New Lebanon Shakers, but because of disagreements over Shaker doctrine apparently he never became a convenant member in residence."
