Description: Illustrated throughout with color photographs. 159pp. Oblong 4to, pictorial cloth, no dust wrapper as issued. Gottingen: Steidl, 2010. First edition. A fine copy, complete with a separate staple-bound insert with 23 additional color photos entitled "Corridors."

Comments: In the early 1970s, the workers at a steel smelting factory east of Havana wrote to Fidel Castro describing their housing needs. Out of this exchange a new city called Alamar was born, conceived by the same workers who would build it and live there. Today it is abandoned; Mauro D'Agati's photographs examine its eccentric spaces.

The book was in my mailbox when I got home last night. Wonderful condition for a 40-year-old book. Nice condition in any case. I am very pleased. Thank you. A bit of trivia: You are only the second seller in six years not to tape the pull strip so it canít be used! Congratulations. Take care, and many, many thanks. I was really looking forward to this one, and you didnít disappoint. - G.W.
