Comments: Jane Currie Blaikie Hoge was a nurse during the Civil War. She served as an associate manager of the U. S. Sanitary Commission in Chicago. In addition to her nursing duties, she recruited nurses for the Union cause. This work is an autobiography of her experiences during the war.
