Thick 4to, limp vellum with early inked title on spine, leather ties. Margins of title page and following page have been restored & title page cropped at the top. Occasional foxing and age browning. Antonio Gomez was a professor of civil (i.e., Roman) law at Salamanca; the first edition of his commentary on the laws of Toro appeared in 1555, and the work was continuously reprinted internationally through the 18th century.
