Description: Exceptional autographed Russian space First Day Cover commemorating the 21st anniversary of the Soviet space program and the historic flight of Yuri Gagarin. Measures 4.75 x 7.5 inches and postmarked on April 12, 1982. Includes the crew of Soyuz T - 4, signed by cosmonauts Vladimir Kovalyonok and Viktor Savinykh. Additionally signed by Andrian Nikolayev (cosmonaut #3 and the 2nd man in space), Yuri Malyshev, Yevgeny Khrunov, Viktor Gorbatko, Vladimir Dzhanibekov, and Vietnamese cosmonaut Pham Tuam. Near fine condition.

Comments: Soyuz T - 4 was the 14th expedition to Salyut 6. Docking was delayed after the on-board Argon computer determined it would occur outside the radio range. In mid-May, both cosmonauts replaced the Soyuz T - 4 probes with a Salyut drogue, an experiment to determine if the vessel could act as a rescue vehicle in the event that an approaching Soyuz craft could not return to Earth.
