Description: 10 x 8 inches, no place, no date, circa 1962 -- a promotional image of a smiling Holley plucking his famed upright bass. Inscribed in the lower left corner: "To Dennis with best O' Everything, Major Holley." Two small surface creases at the lower left margin barely touch the signature. Very good(-) condition.

Comments: American Jazz upright bassist best known for his work with Dexter Gordon, Charlie Parker, and Oscar Peterson. He is credited with inventing the style of Bowing Bass and humming simultaneously.
