Description: 11.5 x 8.75 inches, No place, no date, circa 1945. Drawn in india ink, this highly detailed caricature depicts band leader Guy Lombardo and was published in the New York Herald Tribune. Boldly signed "Kaliff." Uneven toning, but otherwise very good condition.

Comments: Beloved American caricaturist and syndicated Broadway columnist who worked from the 1940s to the 1960s. Kaliff was the founder-president and sole member of the Caricaturists Society of America. It is said that "a person was a nobody unless they did a live sitting with Kaliff."
