Description: 2 pages, 6.25 x 5 inches, Boston, no date, but with the original postmarked envelope (torn) dated 1918. In this letter, Wiggin expresses that she hopes to be able to attend a lecture. In part: "At the moment I am not certain that I shall not have to go back to New York City...but if I do stay over I am going to present myself at your door and beg one seat from which to hear my friend Vincent de Narbicke speak. I rarely miss one of his lectures in New York City...and I so much wish to see if you have the same delight in his lectures that we do at home..." Partial tear along the center fold; two small ink smudges on the first page. Very good(-) condition.
Comments: American author of children's books including the classic" Rebecca of Sunnybrook Farm" (1903). Though she was well traveled, the vast majority of her success took place while she resided in Maine.Signed: Y
