Manuscript Arithmetic Schoolbook
Date Published: 1785
Description: A unique book, circa 1785. 116 pages, 8 x 6.5 inches, bound in well-worn vellum (first signature re-attached). Entirely handwritten in the excellent decorative penmanship of the time. The book consists of six sections, each a mathematical lesson (Profit and Loss; Fellowship with Time; Alligation Medial; Position; Double Position; Exchange). For each lesson there are difficult word problems followed by the involved mathematics required to solve the problem, along with the final answer. Very good condition considering its age.
