[4], iii, 206 pages. Large 4to, contemporary half red leather over marbled boards; gilt-stamped spine with raised bands; original yellow pictorial wrappers bound-in. Paris: G. Boudet and C. Tallandier, 1897. Limited edition -- from a total of 1,050 copies, this is number 117 of 1,000 on 'Papier Velin. A very good(+) copy with light wear to binding, and previous owner's bookplate; plates are in excellent condition.

Comments: This volume is the third part of a highly collectible three volume set which explores the significance of poster art in the 1880s and 90s. The first two volumes concern posters by French artists ("Les Affiches Illustrees"), while this volume is about posters printed elsewhere (specifically: Germany, Austria, England, America, Belgium and Japan). Color lithographs printed by Imprimerie Chaix.
