Comments: Charles P. Rising (1859-1920) was a landscape artist born in Auburn, New York near the Finger Lakes. Artistically inclined from an early age, Rising studied with Hudson River painter George Clough (1825-1901). Rising worked in a variety of media including charcoal, oil, watercolor and pencil, and his delicate drawings clearly reflect the inspiration he found in the enchanting landscapes of his native region. Minor wear to edges.

I wanted you to know that my book arrived in about 3 days in perfect condition. I am not an expert in grading book conditions, but to call this book very good with very good dust jacket is a true understatement. This book is pristine and immaculate. The book was wrapped in tissue, then wrapped in corrugated stuff and then wrapped in brown wrapping paper. I buy a lot of books on line and have never received a book so carefully prepared for shipping. It is refreshing to get such professional attention and I hope I can find more books at your place. - Daniel
