Comments: Great map of the Greenland coast from the Hudson Bay (here called King Christian's Sea and the New Sea) to Spitsbergen. Based upon Isaac la Peyrere's map of 1647, it illustrates the journey taken by the Danish explorer Jens Munk in 1619-20, who was looking for the Northwest Passage. Includes the mythical Frisland. From Churchill's "Collection of Voyages and Travels". Two creases along left side.
