Comments: British author, art critic, and journalist; married Sir Charles Eastlake in 1846. A pioneering journalist, she showed her disapproval of Jane Eyre and criticized John Ruskin.

I've been looking for another copy of "West of the Indus" for nearly twenty years (I know, it's such a cultural wasteland out here in the provinces), and I never expected to find one with a dust jacket.
