Beautiful early map of Italy, circa 1562. Includes Corsica and parts of Sardinia and Sicily. From Ruscelli's Italian translation of Ptolemy's "Geographia", "La Geografia di Claudio Tolomeo". Minor stains in bottom corners and along centerfold. Girolamo Ruscelli (c. 1504-1566) was a Venetian editor, cartographer and physician known best for his publication of Ptolemy's Geographia.
