Description: 1 page, 9.75 x 8 inches, no place, September 4, 1805. Written to General George Washington's American Revolutionary War aide, Stephen Moylan, apprising him, in part, that "Alexander Gray, a private in the late Revolutionary army, has been placed on the pension list of the United States for the State of Pennsylvania..." Boldly signed "H. Dearborn" as Secretary of War. Minor fraying on the left edge; evenly toned; tape reinforcement on the back of one of the folds. Very good(-) condition.

Comments: Dearborn was a physician, statesman, and veteran of both the American Revolution and the War of 1812.
