Comments: Beautiful print of a chatterer in a branch of anemones. Minor wear and aging along edges. Mark Catesby (1683-1749), born in England, was America's first naturalist/illustrator. He was the first to comprehensively illustrate natural history delineating the American flora and fauna. This selection was etched and published by Johann Seligmann (1720-1762) after Catesby.
