Description: 1 page on personal letterhead, 11 x 8.5 inches, New York, no date, circa 1970. Signed "The Hash" by Al Hirschfeld, the iconic New York Times theatrical caricaturist. This letter is written to Ed and Rosemary Chodorov, who had asked for his opinion of an apartment they had considered renting in New York City, in small part: "...Dolly, the 'beard' and Todd the architect drove down to 43rd street to inspect the cell you dream to be chained in..." Slight discoloration along the folds but still very good condition.
