Comments: A sleigh filled with young women escorted by a gentleman who resembles Homer. Homer's initials are on the side of the sleigh. Winslow Homer, born in 1836 in Massachusetts, was a consummate American artist of his day. His contemporary scenes were from all strata of life. He worked until his death in 1910. Minor overall toning, minor chipping to top and right edges. Small tear at top edge to image. Other Harper's Weekly Homer prints are available upon request.
