Comments: Political cartoon depicting politicians climbing into a Trojan horse at the gates of Washington, D.C. Caption reads "You can't play the old Trojan horse game on Uncle Sam". Minor wear and chipping along edges. Thomas Nast was a political cartoonist and illustrator; credited with devising elephant and donkey symbols of Republican and Democratic parties, and with creating American image of Santa Claus. Other Nast cartoons (including the Santa prints) are available upon request. We have a vast collection, sorted by year (1862-1886).
