Description: 1 page, 9 x 6 inches, Washington D.C., November 13, 1947, signed in full on embossed personal stationery. In this letter, Ickes is giving his biographer, Harry Barnard, permission to use his name for a committee, in part: "...When I resigned from the Cabinet, I adopted the rule of not permitting the use of my name in connection with any committee or public undertaking...However, I do so in this case..." Slight discoloration along the top from an adhesive residue on verso; still very good condition.
