Description: 1 oversize page on parchment, 22 x 17 inches, Paris, August 22, 1342 -- a declaration recording that Thomas Gosselin has sold a house in Paris in the fief and lordship of the convent of Montmartre and has charged 21 livres' rent. Gentle soiling at the edges; small closed tear on the lower right corner expertly repaired; several words in the text which were lost in the original brown ink have been reinserted in a modern hand in darker ink. Medieval and later notes on the back, including pressmarks; still in remarkably good condition considering its age.
