Description: Harrison, the 23rd President of the United States, signed this certificate appointing a new postmaster general in his first year in office. The document shows the President's name boldly printed at the top with an engraved vignette of a bald eagle underneath. 13" x 17", stain residue on lower corners from golden U.S. Post Office seal, natural folds. January 30, 1890. Very good condition.
