Short thick folios, contemporary 3/4 red morocco with ornate gilt-stamped spines (edgeworn but still very firm and attractive); marbled endpapers, a.e.g. New York: Appleton, (1872-1874). Very good.

Comments: A pretty copy with mostly clean plates. There is some very light occasional foxing and some discoloration to paper at fore and top-edges, but outside of image area.
