Comments: Blackmore (1654-1729) was the personal physician to Queen Anne and William III who was also a popular and prolific writer, much admired by contemporaries such as John Locke & Samuel Johnson. This is his first and best known work, an epic recount of the Arthurian legend. Wing B3081; Lowndes 211.
