Description: 4 pages (front and back), each two-page spread measuring 6.75 x 10.75 inches, Buzzard's Bay, Massachusetts, May 30, 1904. Signed "J. Jefferson" by the internationally renowned comedic actor best known for his portrayal of Rip Van Winkle. This letter was written to a family friend regarding an unnamed matter involving his son Charles, in part: "...The reason I did not write again was because I received a letter...saying that you and your wife were to meet my son Charles...for a talk over the matter of some engagement. Not hearing from Charles I fancied the matter was settled one way or the other..." Clear tape along the inside fold; light smudging at the bottom of the first page. Good condition.
