Description: 1 page, 10.75 x 8.5 inches, no place, June 2, 1942. In this letter, Gable instructs Loew's to forward all "notices" sent to him through his representatives in Beverly Hills, in part: "This is to request that any and all notices which you are required or may desire to serve me under my contract of employment with you dated January 25, 1940 shall be sent to..." Horizontal folds; two punch holes and several staple on the top edge. Otherwise very good condition.

I just finished reading about the store and your family in Nick Basbanes newest book, Patience & Fortitude. I had previously read an article in Book magazine. I wished that I lived near so I could visit your store, it looks and sounds like a place I dream of getting lost in. Basbanes book mentioned that your father began a memoir but was, sadly, unable to finish the work. Would it be in anyway possible to read what must be a great historical adventure in bookselling?
