Comments: First Editions. Two important contributions to modern cytology dealing specifically with development and fertilization, and with the problem of the bearers of heredity. The author shared the view that the hereditary particles (genes) in the cell are borne by the chromosomes, and that the chromosomal individuality is maintained. Vejdowsky was professor and director of the Zoological Institute of the Bohemian University at Prague (DSB Supplement). Both works are inscribed by the author on the front wrappers.

Dear Argosy. THANK YOU very very much. I ordered the book "A Case of Removal of the Lower Jaw, for Osteo-Sarcoma of Immense Size" by George C. Blackman. I was pleased beyond words just to think that I was getting an original copy of a book that my great great grandfather wrote.
