Comments: On the fly-leaf is a signed inscription to J.H. Choate, Jr., from the 90 year old John Bigelow, diplomat and editor. Also in Bigelow's hand is a quotation from Gibbon regarding Blackstone. A very nice set of this classic treatise which is one of the best general histories of English law. Grolier Hundred, 52.
