Folio, loose as issued in original printed paper wrappers; protected in board folders and slipcases; (uncut, slipcases repaired). Paris: Flammarion, 1951. A very fine copy in very good inner sleeves and good outer boxes.

Comments: Internally a fine copy. Number 60 of 200 copies. Author was a deputy to the national assembly and later became a judge of the Court of Cassation, (the highest French court of appeal). This is his most famous work. In addition he wrote on a variety of subjects including judicial theory, political economy, and duelling.
