Leidae (Leiden) & Amstelodami (Amsterdam), 1728.

Comments: This work is an abbreviated version of his "Physices elementa mathematica" (Leiden 1721), which was the most influential introduction to Newton at least before 1750. First edition of this abbreviated version for student use was published in 1723. Gravesande was a professor of mathematics and astronomy at Leiden and was later also named professor of philosophy.
