Description: 3 pages (front and back) each measuring 8.75 x 7.25 inches, Howirth, England, July 29, 1812. In this letter, Gray discusses the murder of Count and Countess de A.W. Noyres, in part: "...The conclusion you have formed seems to be the natural one. It is impossible to conceive of motive but that of madness to the commission so extraordinary and so horrid an atrocity..." Tear repaired on the last page; several folds and slight staining. Very good(-) condition.
